An Amazing Journey

An Amazing Journey

[blockquote cite=”Bob Moawad”]The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own. No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on, or blame. The gift is yours – it is an amazing journey – and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.” [/blockquote]

Sometimes a simple quote expresses my thoughts better than I ever could…

Towards My Dreams

You know how sometimes you get stuck in a bit of a rut and find yourself just going through the motions – putting one foot in front of the other?

I knew I needed to get a picture for the 365 Project Photography challenge but for the life of me I couldn’t seem to find a single shot that made me want to bother with even the effort of clicking the shutter.

I stood there staring at the parts inside the electric meters going around and around. No emotions or thoughts it just keeps on turning 24/7 regardless of what is going on around it. Yeah, a full-fledged power outage would stop it, but not much else.

“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

I don’t want to be like that meter.

I want to live.

I want to feel.

When you follow your dreams, you create a new world for yourself and bring others along for the ride. Your destiny awaits you; skip towards it.” Jayme Barrett

I want to skip towards my dreams…

Moments In Nature

[blockquote cite=”John Muir”]Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.” [/blockquote]

When I visit this spot, the world around me disappears.

It is a place where I can just be…

Make My Own Coffee

Inner Voice: Ummmmm… what are you doing?

Me: Nuffin

Inner Voice: You are supposed to be writing.

Me: I don’t have nuffin to say.

Inner Voice: You used that excuse yesterday.

Me: Yeah, well, I am using it again.

Inner Voice: It’s not going to work 2 days in a row.

Me: Seriously, why don’t you go bug someone else for a while?

Inner Voice: It’s my job to bug you.

Me: How about if I just distract them with a pretty picture?

Inner Voice: Sighs…

Me: Sighs…

Inner Voice: Fine. Go with the pretty picture then.

Me: Do you think they will fall for it?

Inner Voice: Nope.

Me: You don’t happen to make coffee, do you?

Inner Voice: They are going to think you are crazy if you keep talking to me.

Me: Fine, I will make my own coffee….

Absolutely Nothing To Say

Every now and then I have absolutely nothing to say.

Yeah, I realize that is difficult to believe considering the fact that I run a community forum, write for multiple blogs and am very active in social media, but it does happen.

Sometimes I just kind of get lost in a world of my own.

This has been one of those days…

Obsessed With The Dream

Somewhere inside of me I thought that my recent road trip would be a quick fix for my restless heart. If anything I have become even more obsessed with the dream to work from the road full time.

Do I have the soul of a gypsy or is there something inside of me running away from the reality of day to day life. Am I hung up on wondering if this is really all there is?

Clearly a healthy lifestyle includes truly living in the here and now but every moment that isn’t filled work to keep me distracted, I find my thoughts right back to finding ways that it can be done and plotting ideas to make it all happen.

Who in their right mind wants to run away from home at 51 years old?

That’s crazy, right?

Does anyone have a small motor home that they would love to donate to me? (evil grin)

Sighs…
