Favorite Mexican Food Restaurant

I think that maybe we have been feeling a few withdrawal pains from our daily photo journal, so we decided to invite you along for a meal at our favorite Mexican food restaurant on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Out Front of El Charrito's Mexican Food Restaurant

Haley out front of El Charrito’s. She is definitely ready for some authentic Mexican food.

El Charrito Authentic Mexican Food Restaurant

I love the colors of this restaurant because they are so bright!

Front Dining Room of El Charrito

Since everyone was eating in the back dining room this afternoon, I figured it would be a great chance to grab a photo up front, so you could see the atmosphere.

Sizzling Steak!

The Fundido Skillet is so incredibly good it should truly be illegal. When they bring this to you it is still sizzling! Yummy!

Haley's Favorite!

Haley always eats the P3 (a chicken and rice combo).

Sopapilla with Ice Cream

She found a way to leave room for sopapilla with ice cream though!

Haley

We miss the photo journal too much to give it up all together, so we plan to continue with it at least two or three times a week.

Thanks for sharing our Sunday with us!

A sopapilla is a kind of fried pastry or quick bread. It is incredibily delicious.

Technically fundido means fondue. This is a sizzling steak that is so tender your mouth will be melting. It served with a lucsious thin sauce and grilled onions over the top

I wonder why I don’t see those listed in our Mexican restuarants here! I want ‘em!

It’s not a franchise. It is a locally owned restaurant.

I’ve never cared for Mexican food, but your photos are stunning to the point that they made my mouth water. I may just have to give it a try again!

Ooooooh We had a favorite place here that made those dishes, but it went out of business. :( I absolutely love authentic Mexican food! When I was pregnant with my 3 year old we ate there at least 2x a week. My son was born loving salsa! He can’t get enough of the stuff. LOL

Well the food looks great. But that beautiful girl takes the cake. She is absolutely stunning and very photogenic. You take great pictures.
