When faced with crisis and adversity, we can either choose to ride it out or to rise above it. The latter sometimes feels impossible when times are especially hard, and trouble hits too close to home, but even one voice reminding us of the blessings we still have can often be the catalyst to lifting ourselves up to keep pressing forward toward a brighter day. [and the pics are wonderful, btw.] In a time when it's the norm to complain about the rough economy it's good to remember that we're fortunate to have what we have. Being cynical may be fashionable, but as we hit veterans day we're reminded that doing so is just taking our blessings for granted. Nothing wrong with being proud of our country, in fact there's everything right about it. I'm not talking a pride of accomplishment so much as just an acknowledgement that we stand on the shoulders of giants, and our job is to continue the tradition so many paid for with the ultimate sacrifice. Couldn’t have said it better. [and the pics are wonderful, btw.]
