Cricket's Thoughts

One Step Forward

Tripping Over Your Own Feet

We have all had one of those days that feel as if we take one step forward and then at least three steps (or a dozen) back. You’ve had those days too, right?

Today it was my turn.

Every decision I made seemed to result in several new things that needed to be done, and each of those things needed to be done right NOW!

Before I knew it, I was tripping all over my own feet.

Take a deep breath.

Remember that sometimes, it just is, what it is.

Walk away for a bit if you need to.

If all else fails, curl up and take a ‘lil nap.

Take A Nap

Once you find yourself ready to tackle the day again, just smile and work through it all, one baby step at a time. Why? Because one way or another, you CAN do this.

Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow.” Mary Anne Radmacher

Oh this is the story of my life Cricket lol… and I often step back… take a 5 minute walk around the garden, soak up some sunshine or just lie down on the grass and look at the clouds… the 20 min nana nap is one of my all time favourites too!

Thank you for initiating this blogging challenge…. I am inspired!

As someone who loves little quotes, I really appreciated this one:

Oh, boy, do I know about taking on more than I can do right now! You go, girl. I am with you!

One way or another, we always get back up and take another shot at it all. I think it was Zig Ziglar who explained that a big shot is really just a little shot that kept on shooting! <3

A simple straight forward message, and very appropriate for life today..

I think we forget sometimes that it is just simply how life works. We weren’t born walking. We had to fall down multiple times before we figured it all out. πŸ™‚

This is what I needed today!

    Thanks for inspiring me Cricket!

I definitely needed the reminder today! Sometimes I need to learn the same lesson over and over again, but eventually it all starts to stick. πŸ™‚

Those are my Whack-a-Mole type days.. one thing gets whacked back and more pop up until the game is over and you have to start a new one!

I frequently have days like this!

    Great post and so true!

Cricket…I was trying to sleep and obviously that didn’t work out. I was scrolling through Facebook and thought, “I need to know more about this Cricket…she always leaves great comments on my FB page.” Found your blog….and it’s wonderful. Just added to my down-time reading list!

Ha – yeh – I call them Domino Day – because no matter what you do, you’ve got to push over a whole bunch of dominos before you can get the first thing actually finished! Glad it’s not just me πŸ™‚

Funny how we all have a name for those days!

    Thanks Cricket!
I often find myself in this loop, especially when it comes to blogging so thank you for the challenge to just do it! Hopefully we don’t have as many backwards steps with our blogs, then we’ve just got the rest of life to sort out πŸ™‚

I had some connection problems yesterday, but got my blogging done offline. I will get myself updated later today when my brain is working again! πŸ™‚

Well, I’d have to admit I used to have days like that. Then one day I decided to take things one at a time. Sometimes it’s ok to let things fall to the next day, sometimes you lose them. The key here is to remember no one is perfect. Ok, well maybe some of us are πŸ˜‰ LOL

I used to call those days Mondays but seems I have had several Mondays this week! πŸ™‚
