A Little About Me
There is something so right about the sight of the flags flying high and proud, even when the weather gets a bit rough. Perhaps a bit like being proud to be an American, even during those times that we don’t seem to get it quite right.
“When you photograph people in color you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in B&W, you photograph their souls.”
(Ted Grant)
Sometimes I wonder if I was born in the wrong era.
I feel a special connection with Mockingbirds, even when my neighbor catches me having a chat with this one. I am pretty sure the neighbor already knows I am a bit on the weird side, so I’m not too worried about it.
Is there anything sexier than a nice pair of cowboys boots?
Okay yeah, maybe there is. Combine nice boots with the sound of the iron horse starting up. Lawd have mercy!
Funky old trees that grow a million different directions. Yeah, they remind me of me.
It’s true, people do seem to act a bit weird during a full moon. Or, maybe that’s just an excuse I use.
Spring feels like a special gift just for me, a season where nature has taken a paintbrush and colored the world with bright pretty colors . . .
I very drawn to old barns. Maybe it brings back memories of playing in the hayloft at Granddaddy’s farm or maybe it’s the dream of living life in the country . . .
Yeah, I feed the birds . . .
And, I feed the squirrels too.
Why?
Because I enjoy watching them living life in the moment.
Thank you for being a part of my life, and especially for allowing me to be a part of yours . . .
Thank you for the wonderful photos!
It is so nice to see you posting here, your words and photos always make me think and enjoy the world around me.

Dangit girl, I wish you’d stop ruining your posts with those darn bird photos! Every time one pops up I jump.
Gorgeous photos though, as usual. I especially love watching H grow up in front of my eyes.

Hi Cricket..
I like all the pictures..
I wonder, have you edited the color? The funky old tree picture color is unique. I like it.
This is wonderful – gorgeous pics and I can so relate to so many of the thoughts to go along with them! I love to feed squirrels – and I recently moved to a small town in Alabama. I am SO in the minority out there! LOL Did you take all the pics yourself?
