For a very long time I have had a dream occupying the corner of my thoughts. A few years ago, I shared that dream with you. It has not dimmed with the passage of time.
If anything, it has grown. Something deep inside of me literally aches for that life as if nothing quite makes sense without it.

Considering that I am a creature of habit and resistant to change, it seems a bit crazy.
Who in their right mind would intentional choose an essentially homeless lifestyle?
That’s nuts, isn’t it?
Yet late at night I often pace like a caged animal craving freedom.
As this year comes to a close, I find myself I staring at bridges leading to another life and know that one day soon, I will find a way…

Some of the happiest days of our lives were when my husband and I traveled the US in our 21′ Sunline travel trailer. We never did it full time but once stayed in Arizona 2 1/2 months and at other times roamed for 2 months. Our very favorite places were the National Parks. Because of age and health reasons we no longer are able to do that but we quite often look back through our many photo albums at the beautiful places we saw. And remember to get out of the motor home and roam through the mountains and meadows. We saw too many people just sitting inside watching TV. Go for it Cricket. We have never regretted the years we traveled.
My husband and I are going to get an RV when we retire.
I want to start in Maine in Fall and head south following the leaves as they turn. (Sept – Nov)
Travel across the southern states, Florida to Arizona in the winter ( Nov- Mar)
Travel north up the Pacific (Mar – May)
Take our time thru Wyoming Montana, South Dakota until July
Hit Chicago just before 4th of July for summer……
That is a dream of mine….
My husband and I are planning a warm up this year to a dream trip of mine. The warm up is a week in Rome and a week walking Cinque Terre. Can the Camino be far behind? Follow your dreams!!

I have always wanted a camper and to be able to pack the furkids up and go where we want! My uncle and aunt in Atlanta began this after retirement and spent a lot of time in the southwest.
